Whole Body Vibration Therapy involves standing, sitting, or lying on a machine with a vibrating platform. The machine transmits energy to your body, causing muscles to contract and relax multiple times per second.
WBV Therapy works by stimulating muscle contractions and enhancing neuromuscular activity. The vibrations cause rapid muscle contractions, which can help improve muscle strength, coordination, and circulation.
Please reach us at info@wellness-wholeness.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
All that is required of the patient is to simply stand on the vibration plate. Wear comfortable clothing and shoes. The machine's settings (frequency, amplitude, and duration) will be adjusted based on your goals and fitness level.
Some discomfort during or after a workout on a vibration machine is normal, but pain is not. Discomfort is usually caused by the rapid contraction and relaxation of muscles during exercise. This is especially true when you first start using a vibration machine, or if you're new to exercise in general. Minor muscle soreness is a normal and healthy adaptation period, but you should expect to feel less sore with consistent use. If the soreness persists, it could be because you're progressing too quickly, such as by doing too many exercises or too much work. To help prevent discomfort, you can try to maintain good form while using the machine.
Anyone from the very young to the elderly can use WBV safely and without negative side effects. See list of contraindication below.
Treatment will last between 10 to 30minutes.
We recommend to limit your daily use of the vibration plate to 30 minutes. For most people, sessions between 15-25 minutes per day are the optimal amount of time. This allows your body to experience the benefits of whole-body vibration without putting excessive strain on your muscles and joints.
In terms of weekly usage, vibration plate exercise for 3 to 4 days a week is recommended. This frequency allows for sufficient rest and recovery between sessions, ensuring that your body has time to adapt and respond to the vibrations.
1 session costs $ 15, weekly cost for up to 4 sessions $55, monthly cost for up to 16 sessions(4 per week) is $200.
WBV Therapy is generally considered safe for most people when used correctly. However, individuals with certain conditions, such as pregnancy, acute thrombosis, severe cardiovascular diseases, or certain musculoskeletal conditions, should consult a healthcare provider before starting WBV Therapy.
Most users experience few to no side effects. However, some people may experience mild nausea, dizziness, or headaches, especially when first starting out. These symptoms usually diminish as the body adjusts to the therapy.
WBV Therapy can complement traditional exercise by providing additional muscle stimulation and enhancing the benefits of regular workouts. However, it should not replace conventional exercise but rather be used as a supplementary tool.
WBV Therapy can aid in weight loss by increasing muscle activity, which in turn can boost metabolism and promote fat loss. Combined with a healthy diet and regular exercise, it can be an effective component of a weight loss program.
