Experience the power of oxygen — naturally.
At Cedar Valley Functional Medicine, our soft-shell hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) offers a safe, non-invasive way to enhance healing, energy, and overall wellness.
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) is a gentle, restorative treatment that uses pure oxygen in a pressurized environment to help the body heal itself naturally. By increasing oxygen levels in the blood up to 1,200% above normal, HBOT enhances cellular energy, improves circulation, reduces inflammation, and accelerates tissue repair. This deep oxygen infusion supports the body’s own regenerative processes—awakening stem cells, promoting new blood vessel growth, and restoring balance at the cellular level.
Clients often report greater energy, mental clarity, faster recovery, and a deep sense of well-being. Whether your goal is to enhance performance, recover from injury, calm chronic inflammation, or support overall vitality, HBOT offers a safe, evidence-based path to whole-body wellness.

HBOT is a medical treatment in which patients breathe oxygen while inside a pressurized chamber. The increased pressure allows your lungs to absorb more oxygen, enhancing healing and regeneration at the cellular level.
HBOT may support healing for conditions such as post-stroke recovery, chronic wounds, long COVID, TBI, Lyme disease, and fatigue syndromes. It’s also used to accelerate post-surgical healing and reduce inflammation.
When administered by trained professionals, HBOT is very safe. Sessions are monitored, and pressure levels are controlled to ensure comfort and safety.
Treatment plans vary by condition. Some individuals feel benefits after 3–5 sessions, while chronic conditions may require 20 or more sessions for optimal results.
You’ll relax in a comfortable pressurized chamber while breathing pure oxygen. You may experience mild ear pressure similar to airplane takeoff, which subsides quickly.
People with the following conditions should avoid or consult a doctor before HBOT:
Untreated pneumothorax (collapsed lung)
Certain ear or sinus conditions
Upper respiratory infections
Untreated seizure disorder
Uncontrolled high fever
Severe emphysema with CO₂ retention
Pregnancy (relative contraindication)
Recent chest surgery or thoracic trauma
Medication precautions: Some chemotherapy agents (like doxorubicin or cisplatin) and certain ear/sinus medications may conflict with HBOT.
