Ozone therapy is a form of alternative medicine that involves the administration of ozone gas into the body to treat various medical conditions. Ozone, a molecule composed of three oxygen atoms (O3), is introduced into the body through various methods such as infusion, injection, insufflation, or ozonated water.
The therapeutic effects of ozone therapy are thought to stem from its ability to:
-Modulate the immune system
-Improve oxygenation
-Enhance circulation
-Exert antimicrobial properties that can kill bacteria, fungi, and viral infections . Ozone is about 4,500 times more powerful at killing these organisms as is chlorine bleach, and of course, chlorine is very toxic to the body, whereas ozone is not.
Administration routes: Ozone can be given by either systemic or local therapy.
Systemic Ozone therapy applications benefit the entire body by stimulating fundamental systems such as oxygen efficiency, blood flow improvement and immune balancing. This application is commonly used for infectious diseases, chronic conditions, anti-aging/longevity, gut diseases, inflammatory diseases, autoimmune disorders, chronic pain and more.
Local Ozone therapy applications are performed on specific areas of the body and their effects do not extend to the rest of the body. This is commonly used on non-healing wounds, herniated discs, local infections like cellulitis(MRSA), rashes and more.
Ozonated Olive Oil is produced by infusing ozone-oxygen gas into olive oil, a lengthy process that results in the formation of peroxides. This powerful oil is widely used to treat conditions such as acne, wrinkles, eczema, psoriasis, skin infections, athlete's foot, decubitus ulcers, burns, receding gums and more.
Ozonated olive oil is a remarkably versatile treatment with a surprisingly simple mechanism. It primarily achieves two things:
1. Kills Pathogens: Many skin issues, including infections and acne, are caused by harmful bacteria. Ozonated oil eliminates these bacteria and promotes skin restoration by stimulating the natural production of hydrogen peroxide in the tissue, enhancing your body's natural defenses.
2. Regenerates Collagen and Speeds Healing: As you age, collagen damage and reduction lead to wrinkles and an older appearance. Ozonated oil stimulates growth factors and collagen regeneration, encouraging your skin to repair and rejuvenate itself.
Ozonated olive oil supports your skin's natural repair processes without known negative effects.
IV ozone therapy involves introducing medical-grade ozone and oxygen gas into the bloodstream. This is done by drawing a small amount of blood, mixing it with ozone gas, and reinfusing it into the body. While it is used in hundreds of thousands of patients every year, it is not yet FDA approved and therefore receives controversy, despite having over 2,000 medical studies.
The benefits of IV ozone therapy include immune modulation, improved oxygen utilization, enhanced microcirculation, and regulation of oxidative stress. It is used to treat various conditions, most commonly Lyme disease, autoimmune disorders, mold toxicity, cancer, and for general health optimization.
Patients often report increased energy, better cognitive function, and reduced pain. Ozone therapy has a proven safety record, with a lower adverse event rate than aspirin. The most common side effect is the Herxheimer reaction, which occurs as the immune system activates and kills pathogens, potentially causing temporary discomfort.

Only a small minority of people experience negative side effects from ozone therapy.
The most notable side effect is the Herxheimer reaction. This occurs when a patient's immune system is burdened with viral, bacterial, or fungal infections. Ozone therapy stimulates the immune system, leading to the rapid destruction of pathogens and the release of endotoxins from the dead pathogens, which can cause temporary illness if the process happens too quickly.
The primary risk of IV ozone therapy is the Herxheimer reaction, which can cause discomfort, making the patient feel tired or unwell for a few days. Symptoms of a Herxheimer reaction include:
However, this reaction can be avoided by starting with a lower dose for patients with significant immune burdens and gradually increasing the dose as tolerated until the standard dose is reached.
It is not uncommon for chronically ill patients to feel worse after the first 2-4 treatments, but they often feel significantly better afterward.
Other potential side effects of ozone therapy include:
By carefully managing dosages and monitoring patient responses, these side effects can be minimized.
Our starting price for IV Ozone therapy is $100. This is an introductory rate and lower than average cost. You would need more than one session to attain the effects of it. Usually 5-10 sessions are required and some patients need a continuous maintenance dose.
